Before this morning, I was having frequent “inner discussion” about surgery. You know what I mean. “I hope this works for me….I am worried about getting a surgery complication…..what if surgery doesn’t work for me….don’t want to spend the money and have it be wasted….blah blah blah.”
That was this morning. Before something horrible happened in my hotel room. I accidently found the full length mirror. Standing naked in the bathroom, I could clearly see my backside reflected in it. And it was a LOT of backside. WHOA! When did that happen to my ass!? Shame shame shame on me.
Now I feel ferocious, determined, and powerful. There is NO WAY I am going to fail at this! BRING ON THE SURGERY!
This pre-surgery phase is kind of like the months surrounding high school graduation and going away to college. You know things are going to change. You hope the change is good. You hope you successfully navigate the change. Finally, when the change comes and turns out to be good (and I mean good beyond your WILDEST expectations) you realize how much enjoyment came from the change itself.
Well let me be clear – I am going to succeed with this surgery beyond my WILDEST expectations!
Oh, and did I mention I was able to pull in my surgery date to Feburary 4? The countown is on.
